Hurma — Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Hurma mobile app (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the App.

1. What the service is

Hurma is an educational app that teaches the Arabic letters, the vowel marks, the rules of tajweed and surah recitation, step by step. The content is for educational purposes and does not constitute religious counsel or a fatwa.

2. Account

You can use the App without an account. Creating one with Google, Apple or email is optional; it is needed to back up your progress to the cloud and to use the circle and leaderboard features.
You are responsible for the security of your account credentials.
The App is intended for users aged 13 and over. If you are under 13, please use it under parental supervision.
You can delete your account at any time from the profile screen inside the App. Deletion permanently removes your progress and your profile data.

3. Subscription and payment

Some features of the App require a paid subscription (hurma+Premium).
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when the purchase is confirmed.
The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal charge is taken within the 24 hours before the period ends.
You can manage your subscription and turn off automatic renewal under Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
Where a free trial is offered, you move to the paid period if the subscription is not cancelled before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a trial ends when a subscription is purchased.
Current pricing and duration are shown on the purchase screen.

4. Refunds

Purchases are made through the Apple App Store; refund requests are subject to Apple’s policies and are submitted directly to Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). As the app developer we are not able to issue refunds directly.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the App for unlawful purposes.
You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy or distribute the App’s source code.
You may not place excessive load on the service with automated tools, or disrupt other users’ experience.
Your display name on the leaderboard may not be offensive or misleading.

6. Content and intellectual property

The lessons, audio recordings, images, mascot and software in the App belong to Hurma and may not be reproduced other than for personal, non-commercial use. The text of the Qur’an is in the public domain. Some audio recordings are taken from the Elifba materials of the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) and the relevant rights belong to their owners.

7. Limitation of liability

The App is provided “as is”. While every care is taken over the accuracy of the content, learning outcomes and uninterrupted access are not guaranteed. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we cannot be held liable for indirect damages arising from use of the App.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; significant changes will be announced inside the App. We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of Türkiye have jurisdiction over disputes. Your rights under consumer legislation are reserved.
